Introducing Corra: one workspace, one student record
By The Corra team · · 2 min read · Product
Corra is a single workspace for K-12 teachers, built on the idea that the same student information should be entered once and then read by everything else — the lesson plan, the feedback draft, the accommodation, the family message and the compliance form. Most teacher software is one good tool that knows nothing about the others, and that gap is where the evenings go.
The problem is not any single tool
Ask a teacher what software they use and you will usually hear five or six names, each perfectly reasonable on its own. The gradebook does not know which students have accommodations. The planning tool does not know last week’s scores. The form that special education needs does not know anything at all, so it gets filled in by hand from memory and from three browser tabs.
- The same facts get retyped into different systems all week.
- A change in one place silently fails to reach the others.
- The work of keeping them consistent is invisible, unpaid and endless.
What Corra does differently
Corra starts from the roster and treats it as the spine. Classes, students, reading levels, accommodations and home languages live in one record, and every module reads from it rather than asking again. A differentiated version of a worksheet knows which students need it. A family message knows the language to draft in. A compliance form knows what has already been documented.
The copilot, and why it de-identifies first
An AI copilot runs across the whole product, and it never receives your students’ names. Identifiers are replaced with placeholder tokens on our edge servers before a request leaves, and swapped back in your browser when the answer returns, so the model provider sees structure without identity. The substitution runs on the server rather than in the page, which means a bug in the browser or a modified client cannot skip it.
Where Corra is today
Being early is not a marketing angle, so here is the plain state of it: Google sign-in and onboarding work, the class and student roster works, and the standards library works. The teaching modules are landing one at a time, and every feature is free while that remains true. There is no payment processor connected to Corra and no way to pay us.
Common questions
- Is Corra for schools or for individual teachers?
- For individual teachers. There is no district contract to sign and nobody at your school needs to approve a purchase, though you do need whatever permission your district requires before putting student data into any third-party tool.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing today. There is no payment processor connected to Corra, so every feature is free during early access.
